Well done to Sean and George on taking the National Madison title this afternoon. One of the best spectator races at the track in a long time. Racing against the perennial rivals of Orwell and UCD and strong young Connacht duo, nip tuck and early on. Points being shared before Sundrive starting taking a couple of the sprints to lead. Then the pivotal move, a solid attack and solo out front for a good 20 laps, before finally taking the lap gain. With ten laps to go Sundrive dominating the points while incredibly close for the other two medals. Then a puncture for George with five to go. Orwell spotted the chance to try gain the lap and 20pts back and they went for it. But age and experience counts for a lot, and having more of that then the rest of the field combined, Sean expertly closed out the final few laps. Unbelievable race and win.
